Training

Ongoing education and training is essential not only for maintaining our skills but also for acquiring new, more effective ones. Studies show that continuing to expand our awareness and knowledge of recently developed research-based therapeutic methods keeps us up-to-date, flexible, and better at improving outcomes for our clients.

I have experience teaching and training therapists in agency and university settings on a variety of topics, including sleep/insomnia, pharmacology, principles of addiction treatment, addiction counseling skills, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
